How to Highlight Collaborations, Recommendations and Features on Your Website

We are officially recommended by Hay House! This is very exciting news for us. We have had a couple of Hay House authors as Ready Steady Websites® members for a couple of years now. They are two of the most lovely people ever and they have both told Hay House what a great experience they have working with us. So, when we started creating our Author website template we asked both of them whether they could get Hay Houses’ feedback on it.

Hay House were more than happy to do this and they also started recommending us to other authors if the conversation of websites came up. But then a couple of weeks ago one of our lovely members contacted us to say they had noticed that Ready Steady Websites® was listed in the marketing section of the resource pack that was given to participants on their Writer’s Workshop programme. This was very exciting!

I mentioned this news to some of my business friends who I get together with once a month on a call and they may have been more excited than me! I knew it was a big deal but then I realised it’s a really big deal. One of them immediately told me I had to ask them if we could use their logo on our website to say we are recommended by them and she was right. So, I did and they responded so enthusiastically giving us permission. So now, we proudly display their logo on our homepage and when we shared it on Instagram the response was just as positive as it had been on my call.

So, why am I telling you this?

Firstly because we are incredibly proud to be recognised as being great at what we do by such a significant organisation and secondly to prompt you to think about any collaborations you’ve worked on or anyone who recommends you who would be happy to endorse you officially whose logo you could include on your website.

Including logos in this way is a great way to boost your reputation but also a great convincer to get people to buy from you because they can see other people think you’re really awesome at what you do.

How to Feature Collaborations and Recommendations on Your Website

It’s up to you how you showcase the logos of collaborations or people who recommend you. You can be creative but we recommend two ways of doing it. The first is by having a row on your homepage, like we have done that highlights the people you’re most proud to share or who will resonate most with your idea client. Then if you actually have more collaborations than you can fit into that row then create a “Featured in” or “Collaborations” page and link off to this with a “see more” button.

You could also feature logos in your footer area of your website and this tends to be used more if you are a member of organisations or affiliated with bodies that are relevant to your industry that are important to show your connection with from a professional point of view but maybe wouldn’t be as interesting to your website visitors so you don’t want to have them in such a prominent position.

While I’ve been writing this blog post I’ve actually thought of someone else I should approach to see if we could use their logo! So I’m sure there are many you could think of for your business too and if not maybe now is the time to start reaching out for collaborations and connections with people you’d love to work with.
