Debug Tools

Ever wondered why your page or blog article wouldn't update with the latest title, description and social share image? It's because the page needed debugging!

Twitter Debugger

This has now been disabled by Twitter, you have to instead do it on the app or on twitter.com as you are composing a tweet!

What is all this debug stuff about?

Have you ever heard of a debugger? Well, it’s an odd name for a development tool but a very powerful one. If you’ve ever updated a page or blog article with a new sharing image, description or title and keep seeing the old info wherever you share it - you need to debug it. Clear the cache. Refresh it. But how do you do that? You don’t have to wait for Facebook and the like to refresh everything at their end, you can move it through the system much more quickly, simply go to each of their tools using the  buttons above, enter the web address(es) that won’t update and debug it. You may need to debug a few times so make sure you try 3 or 4 times before giving up, Facebook is particularly annoying when debugging!
